The largest in class cabin volume was created by making the cabin top wider and longer in comparison to the Raw 30. The highset beam ofered the opportunity to raise the cabin level without making the profile look clumsey. Vee-berth, twin quater bertths, cooker, sink and dinnette round out the interior.
The optional Air-Lounge creates a very comfortable place to sit, helm and generally hang out. You no longer have to sit on the side of a boat with your head between your knee's. The deep main hull allows the beams to join the main section at a higher level to keep the beams away from wave strike.
The Airplay 30 folds up without fuss for road trailering and introduces state of the art high buoyancy floats, high beam clearance for good performance in a seaway, and generous overall beam for stability. The forward daggerboard lies ahead of the mast so it can fully retracted without lowering the mast. The beams are gently curved and wide enough for comfortable sitting and to provide a safe access when boarding.
The beams and rig are further aft than other designs of this type which carries a number of benefits as it moves the weight concentration closer to the centre of buoyancy to minimise pitching. You get more buoyancy forward of the centre of effort and this allows the boat to power up significantly more with greater protection against nose diving in stiff conditions. The main bow becomes finer giving a better ride and better penetration upwind while getting the crew weight further aft.
